Gettin' my groove on

Yes, I know it is sung by a man who beat his girlfriend, but I can't help it-- I LOVE THIS SONG. As soon as I hear it, I will stop what I'm doing and get down to this tune.

My New Friend Jack

Today we went to visit Jack McEvila. Jack's daddy, Billy and my Daddy are old Bates friends. Jack's daddy and my Daddy were roommates their freshman year of college- a long, long, time ago. Jack lives with his mommy, Colleen, and his daddy in Avon, CT-- right around the corner from my Nana Lanna. I so wanted to pick up baby Jack, but Mommy said "No". I played with all of Jack's toys as if they were age appropriate for a 15 month old and I didn't even mind when Mommy and Daddy held Jack.

A Heathen, No Longer

In my fifteenth month I've become quite civilized. I refuse to eat a meal without a utensil in my hand and I've become quite skilled at actually moving my food from plate to mouth with these ingenious tools.

My New Ride

In preparation for our vacation to Martha's Vineyard, Daddy took me for a bike ride in my new bike seat. My Daddy is a strong Daddy and he peddled me all the way over the "mountain" into downtown Scarsdale. I was so worn out from a long day at the pool that I feel asleep on the way back and was close to unarousable when we returned home. How many others can claim to have slept on a bike???

Preppy Max

This is a completely gratuitous post. Mommy just thought I looked adorable in this outfit.

Lobsta Bake IX

Since 2001 the Batsies have gathered every year for an awesome Lobster Bake courtesy of Mommy's good friend Neddie (and his amazing parents). It is always a great time and this year was no different. I was even awarded the title of 'First Lobsta Bake Baby' (get movin' folks). Mommy's friend Lisa took some incredible shots of me on the beach with her super cool camera and I had lots of fun playing with Erin and Tuffer (Newlyweds to be 10/25/09). Mommy and Daddy took me deep into the ocean and I wasn't afraid at all. All I needed was a shovel for hours of entertainment in the sand. I think I was born to live by the sea....
